This theme is based on a set of photographs of a summer hailstorm in Australia, by Warren Wood . . and the falling hailstones can be clearly seen in the wallpaper and screens, as they batter the fronds of manfern in his garden. The fern Dicksonia antarctica, is known as manfern here in Tasmania, and treefern on the mainland of Australia. They are protected and only those registered to do so may remove them from the wild . . for resale, or otherwise.
